BRANDING IS THE STAR PLAYER OF GRAPHIC DESIGN. IF YOU CAN BUILD A SOLID AND COHESIVE BRAND, YOU CAN CALL YOURSELF A DESIGNER.

HUMBOLDT CREAMERY

After I completed their packaging, Humboldt Creamery® wanted me to extend the new branding across several mediums. The text heavy, retro blended with modern look and feel was a fun challenge.

BIBI’S BURGER BAR

This project was very fulfilling as I had free rein to create an entire brand for a restaurant opening in the city I grew up in. I created multiple concepts for the logo and ended up with logo that spelled out Bibi's in the shape of a burger, which as a designer is a big win! I ended up creating a menu, a website, business cards, signage, postcards and even consulted on the interior design of the restaurant. I loved driving through downtown and seeing my footprint in the heart of the city. If you look closely at the logo, you’ll see their grandma’s name forms the burger.

THE SWEET ZONE

The Sweet Zone is a quaint candy shop located in Petaluma, CA. They are a newly established business but have been increasingly successful with each year. They tapped into one of my favorite but rarely utilized passions for the logo, hand lettering. This was another project where I had full rein over all aspects of the branding. I created everything from candy wrappers, to window graphics and even some chocolate bars with the logo pressed into them.

FRIEDMAN’S HOME IMPROVEMENT

Friedman’s is one of the larger family owned local companies in Sonoma County. They’ve been a part of this county for 75 years. A few years ago they decided that their brand needed a refresh. With a brand this large it can take years to implement the changes. As time goes on, I’m happier and happier with how much they’re embracing the brand updates. I had less overall control of this branding process than normal simply because of the size of the company and the amount of people that needed to be involved. This is one of the first companies that taught me how to be truly collaborative with a large team, pitch ideas and turn feedback into actionable steps.
